Day 07 - Ep 19 (Last) - Genting Highlands has a lot to offer when it comes to outdoor activities. In our last episode we explored the indoor activities and today we will going to visit the outdoors of Genting Highlands.

Metro City is free for all visitors and hosts a number of popular activities like:

Star Lake - an artificial lake with fountains and laser lights to perform the synchronized fountain show. It also has a large movie screen, where screenings are scheduled throughout the day.

Food Trucks - a variety of colorful food trucks with popular local and international cuisine offerings

Winter Wonderland - has very well crafted stalls and surroundings, giving a wonderful feeling of winterland snow all around. It also has an Ice Skating Rink and scheduled performances and shows.

GohTang Walk - Follow the footsteps of the founder Lim Goh Tong in a 12-stop story trail around the resort. Recall the days before Genting's inception to its rise in becoming Malaysia's top holiday destination today.

Apart from these, there are a number of other stalls all around metro city offering interesting activities, food and beverages.

The Mesmerizing Genting Highlands in Pahang, Malaysia - Day 07 - Ep 17

Day 07 - Ep 17 - This attraction was the highlight of our Malaysia tour and is definitely one of the top most places we recommend for you guys, who are planning to visit Malaysia. The climate of Malaysia is equatorial which means hot and humid and that too, throughout the year. But, Genting Highlands is a different story altogether.

Genting Highlands has a spring-like climate, with yearly temperatures no higher than 25 °C (77 °F) and rarely falling below 14 °C (57 °F) yearly. The lowest temperature of Genting Highlands is 8.4 °C (47.1 °F). [Reference: wikipedia]

Genting Highlands is actually on the top of mountain called Mount Ulu Kali and is around 1,800 meters high. You can reach Genting Highlands via road through private or public transport. Or, you can also use cable cars or Gandola to reach top station of Genting Highland. There are two cable car operators and you can use anyone of them to go back and forth. Older Genting Skyway and the newer Awana Skyway. However, our recommendation is to go via road, you will enjoy the best weather of Malaysia, with lush green forest, smooth metaled roads taking you right through the clouds.
